At dusk, when the sky is reflected in the water, Neptune descends to the marble lagoons in search of jewels of light born underwater. These jewels are illuminated by acts of courage — by artists who risk everything to bring light to humanity.

LUX AETERNA is a film created for the presentation of the new season of the Gran Teatre del Liceu.

A hybrid approach combining sourcing and bespoke making. While most of the costumes were sourced in collaboration with local designers and costume houses, I designed and made a pair of asymmetric trousers for Lorena Nogal.

The design created the illusion of a long train without restricting movement: one leg extended into a trailing panel, while the other used godets to create volume and movement. Performed on a water-covered stage, the metallic fabric caught and reflected the light, extending the costume into the mirrored surface of the stage.
