After completing her studies in Womenswear Pattern Cutting at Institut Català de la Moda (2012 - 2015), she moved to London to broaden her expertise in costume design. At university, Vera worked extensively in theatre, combining her construction skills with assistant roles at renowned institutions such as the Old Vic, the Royal Opera House, and Rambert. During this time, she also contributed to various projects as a costume designer for short films and theatre productions.
Vera graduated in Costume for Performance from London College of Fashion in 2019, quickly transitioning to the fast-paced world of film production. Her experience spans high-level production companies globally, where she honed her craft as a freelance designer.
With a deep understanding of costume construction, Vera’s work goes beyond fabric and design. She is passionate about exploring how costumes function within fiction, viewing them not just as garments, but as cultural texts that convey deeper meanings. Driven by a desire to push the boundaries of costume design, Vera seeks to elevate the role of costumes in telling compelling, complex stories. Based in Los Angeles, she works internationally, continuing to inspire with her unique vision and expertise.
